Job Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Director, directs and coordinates the services of the MRI Department.
Education: Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program. Reference: https://www.arrt.org/Education/ (compliant with all continuing education mandates).

Experience: Required: Five years hospital experience in MRI Department At least two years supervisory experience

Department Position Summary: Under the direction of the Radiology Director, directs and coordinates the services of the MRI Department. The MRI Team Leader is responsible for leadership of their section as follows: Integration of Radiology Section(s) into the organization's primary function.
Coordination and integration of interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.
Recommendations and input into the development of guidelines and procedures descriptions which guide and support the provision of services.
Scheduling a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons for each shift to provide services/care.
Determination of the qualifications and competency of staff who provide patient care services.
Continuous assessment and improvement of performance of care and services provided.
Maintenance of Quality Control programs, as appropriate.
Orientation and continuing in-service education for staff.
Recommendations for space and other resources as necessary.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the MRI Department.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures.
