• Unit: Surgery / Operating Room
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/24/2025 – End: 2/22/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday – Friday (07:00 AM – 03:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: Required; minimum 1x per week (weekday 11p-7a), max 2 calls per week, and one weekend every 5th weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 24 hours each day). Must be able to report within 30 minutes when called in.

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid RN License (Registered Nurse) – New Jersey nursing jobs
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire
• Current PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of perioperative nursing experience or on-the-job training
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Pre/Post Op experience preferred
• Ability to take call as required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists
• Supervise and guide OR Technicians and other healthcare personnel
• Maintain efficient patient flow, unit organization, and compliance with hospital policies
• Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services
• Serve as a resource for other clinical staff
• Respond to call requirements and report to the facility within 30 minutes when called in
