Join Chestnut Health Systems as a Community Health Specialist to support individuals in recovery from substance use or mental health concerns. This part-time role involves coordinating grant activities and establishing community partnerships to promote recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Establish community partnerships to support individuals and families seeking or maintaining recovery
Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and trainings
Facilitate meetings and recruit new members
Maintain communication with community groups
Help develop plans for grant and contract work
Develop communication tools
Mentor and train new staff
Represent the agency in local and state advocacy groups, coalitions, and collaborations
Required Qualifications
Degree in education, public health, or a behavioral health-related field
Bachelor’s plus 2 years’ related experience OR Master’s
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Zoom skills
Online reporting software skills
Public speaking experience
Excellent organizational skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Valid drivers’ license
Private auto insurance
Must be insurable
Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance
