Job Description
Join Providence Health and Services as a Senior Medical Assistant in Oncology, where you'll coordinate essential patient care services and support a compassionate clinical team. Your role is vital in ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced oncology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate patient care services including scheduling and insurance verification
Maintain medical records and reconcile billing issues
Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other departments
Support the clinical team with clerical duties
Answer multiple phone lines and triage phone calls
Required Qualifications
Graduate of certified medical assistant program
Washington Medical Assistant Certification
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
1 year of medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with emphasis in Health Care
Experienced in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations
Experience with Epic
