Key Responsibilities
Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for taking film
Positions and instructs patients regarding procedures
Performs all required procedures utilizing proper positioning, format, technique, and protocol
Identifies, interviews, and screens patients for proper diet preparation and possible allergies to contrast materials
Records procedure and pertinent data in patient’s medical record
Participates in the quality assessment and improvement plan
Monitors inventory of supplies and reports low stock
Produces high-quality images for Radiologist interpretation
Mentors and assists in the education of students
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent specialty
Radiography (R) certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 days
