Job Description
Join The Laurels of Kettering as an MDS Coordinator (RN) and lead the RAI process while coordinating assessments and care plans. Enjoy a supportive team environment and a comprehensive benefits package, including a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Completes MDS, CAA’s and care plans within regulated time frames
Coordinates scheduling the RAI process with the interdisciplinary team
Assesses resident through physical assessment, interview, and chart review
Discusses resident care needs with care givers
Reviews information from hospital, consults, and outside agencies for assessments and care planning
Conducts PPS meetings maintaining MDS assessments per Medicare schedule
Remains current with American Association of Nursing Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience as an RN MDS Nurse
Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process
AANC certification a plus
Preferred Qualifications
RAC-CT certification
Understanding of the Prospective Payment Process (PPS)
