Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team to provide high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll support fellow veterinarians, ensuring compassionate treatments and impactful community services while fostering a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture of respect and teamwork
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and surgical procedures
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients
Participate in administrative duties and team meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
