Join a successful dermatology group in Louisiana as a Dermatologist, where you'll diagnose and treat a variety of skin conditions while collaborating with a dedicated team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Use appropriate techniques to diagnose and treat skin ailments
Evaluate patients through questions, examinations, symptom review, and medical testing
Examine patient skin for abnormalities or malignancies
Request and perform biopsies, sample tissue collections, or other tests as needed
Analyze patient test results
Counsel and educate patients on hygiene, diet, and disease prevention
Perform skin surgery to improve appearance, make early diagnoses, or control diseases
Set patient goals and discuss a treatment plan
Develop treatment plans for medications or skin therapy
Prescribe medications and monitor patient intake
Document patient records and progress
Communicate with assistants and other team members
Provide dermatologic consultation to other health professionals
Conduct research to better serve patients
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree
Completion of an American Board of Dermatology-accredited Dermatology Residency Program
Certification by The American Board of Dermatology
Licensed to work in the state of Louisiana
Preferred Qualifications
Participation in further medical education and/or professional organization memberships
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
