Job Summary:
A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a 13-week assignment within a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The ideal candidate will support patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, helping residents achieve improved functional outcomes through therapeutic activities and interventions. This role requires adaptability, professionalism, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist in implementing individualized care plans to support patient rehabilitation goals.
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to support quality patient care.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Active state COTA license (must be currently active).
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred.
  • Minimum experience: Less than 1 year required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including potential weekend shifts depending on facility needs.
