Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician to ensure the optimal performance of our outside facilities. This role involves hands-on work with various types of cables and hardware, contributing to America's fastest and most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including various types of cables and hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
