Job Description
As the Lead Veterinarian, you will oversee a dedicated team providing critical veterinary care in underserved communities. You will ensure high-quality patient care while also supporting the professional growth of your team, making a significant impact in the lives of animals and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Support new and experienced veterinarians in reaching their potential
Lead a high-functioning team and ensure high-quality care for patients
Oversee and monitor medical and surgical procedures at clinics
Train veterinarians in medical protocols
Foster a positive work culture and support team development
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
