Job Description
The Director of Development and Marketing will lead efforts in fundraising and marketing, focusing on building relationships with donors and executing impactful events. This role requires strategic planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects to drive the organization’s development efforts forward.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy
Prepare and manage budgets and reports for development activities
Cultivate relationships with individual donors
Plan and execute fundraising events
Identify new fundraising opportunities
Develop and maintain marketing materials
Support digital marketing efforts
Create and implement a cohesive marketing strategy
Collaborate with consultants for events or campaigns
Establish and manage a strong social media presence
Maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms
Complete other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in development and event planning
At least three (3) years of experience in communications and/or marketing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools
