Job Description

Join Raytheon as a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader in Tucson, AZ, where you'll lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality technical solutions for military programs. This role involves management, mentorship, and ensuring the accuracy of engineering outputs throughout the product life cycle, contributing to a safer and more secure world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 15-20 engineers
  • Provide technical development, mentoring, and performance management
  • Ensure accuracy of technical output
  • Coordinate staffing needs and support recruitment efforts
  • Perform individual contributor workload in subject matter discipline
  • Provide oversight to programs’ product life cycle

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with materials and process design, development, and/or production support for military programs
  • Experience in working on a cross-functional team
  • Experience in testing methods for generation of physical properties of materials
  • Experience with analysis and requirements of PWB/CCA interconnects
  • Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
  • Experience in dimensional inspection/measurement techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten years of experience in materials problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and complete multi-disciplined scientific based projects
  • Direct experience in aerospace industry
  • Advanced degree in related fields
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of data analysis and statistics
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Ability to write concise technical reports
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo and/or Python
  • Proficiency in MS Office
