Join Alameda Health System as a Radiology Technologist II, where you'll perform diagnostic imaging examinations, ensure patient safety, and assist in the training of new staff while contributing to quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
  • Carries out general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties
  • Produces radiographs and transfers patients
  • Selects proper technical factors and operates imaging equipment
  • Develops film by automatic processing and utilizes the PACS System
  • Provides protection in accordance with radiation safety standards
  • Assists physician in administering opaque media
  • Maintains adequate records and cleanliness in the department
  • Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of continuous recent experience as a radiologic technologist
  • Recent experience in acute care setting in a full service hospital
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
  • Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Department of Health Services
  • Valid mammography certification (if mammographic examinations are performed)
  • Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification
  • Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health
