Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and play a vital role in connecting people and businesses to innovative technology. You'll be responsible for maintaining and installing essential telecommunications equipment while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining equipment
Operating trucks and equipment safely
Installing and testing access lines for different types of technology
Performing construction work for installing cables and poles
Reading and interpreting engineering plans
Climbing ladders and lifting items up to 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
