Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in person
  • Collect demographic and insurance information
  • Check in and interview patients to complete paperwork
  • Direct patients to appointments or procedures
  • Assist in scheduling add-on appointments
  • Document issues and resolutions in electronic medical records
  • Resolve claim issues or registration errors
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Explain cost information to patients
  • Collect co-pay or deductibles and respond to financial assistance inquiries
  • Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs
  • Provide technical direction for employees
  • Assist patients with information requests
  • Obtain patient signatures
  • Gather medical record information
  • Provide customer service for calls
  • Mentor staff as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, food service, banking, or call center
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work standard daytime hours for training
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday starting between 6:00am – 10:00am
  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Revenue Cycle experience
  • General office experience
  • Epic experience
