Job Description
Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Senior GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll develop cutting-edge GPS electronics solutions for missile products. Leverage your expertise in RF subsystems and systems engineering to impact national defense and create innovative guidance technology.
Key Responsibilities
Develop GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Define subsystem requirements and test plans
Conduct hardware design analysis and peer reviews
Interface with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics
Support multiple programs and collaborate with teams
Mentor and be mentored within a strong culture of learning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Experience in systems engineering and architecture
Technical experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting and tools
Experience with hardware integration and environmental testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
