Job Description

As a Service Center Manager at XPO, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring timely freight delivery and managing employee performance. You'll drive efficiency improvements while maintaining a safe work environment, contributing to the overall success of the service center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all employees at the service center
  • Track and audit employees’ hours and handle payroll issues
  • Administer corrective action and monitor coaching and training
  • Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery
  • Provide information on service center productivity and policies
  • Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain clean and safe working conditions
  • Comply with all laws/regulations and company policies
  • Oversee documentation and procedure control for hazardous materials

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
  • Experience with transportation rules and regulations
  • Experience with OSHA standards
  • Experience with hazardous materials regulations
  • Experience with NMFC and Tariff rules
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and administrative skills
