Travel Histotechnologist – Histology Lab
Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: 11/24/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Type: Nights
Schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: As scheduled
On-Call: None
Holidays: Required
Receives surgical specimens for processing and diagnostic evaluation
Performs tasks in Pathology, Cytology, and IHC as required
Receive and accession surgical specimens into Cerner
Process tissue, including embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
Collect blocks from PA staff and prepare specimens for analysis
Ensure quality control and proper documentation throughout the histology workflow
Follow lab protocols for safety, specimen handling, and regulatory compliance
Minimum 2 years of histology/pathology laboratory experience – REQUIRED
ASCP (HT/HLT) certification – REQUIRED
Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences – REQUIRED
Proficiency in pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) techniques
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
Previous travel experience preferred
