Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assess patients
Implement care plans and communicate changes to the healthcare team
Administer treatments and monitor resident conditions
Assist with daily living activities
Document assessments and interventions accurately and timely
Participate in the care planning process
Notify physicians of significant changes using SBARR
Maintain professional composure in crisis situations
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN certification
Current LPN license in the state of employment
CPR and AED certification (or willing to obtain within six months)
IV certification (or willing to obtain within six months)
Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper techniques
Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+ lbs
Ability to push and pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs
Manual dexterity and coordination
Visual acuity to distinguish color
Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing
