Job Description

Join Sysco as a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II and ensure the safety and reliability of our vehicles. You'll perform critical maintenance and repairs, contributing to the efficiency of our fleet while enjoying a full-time union position with great benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Conduct FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles
Perform quality maintenance repairs on all fleet vehicles
Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
Document all work performed on work orders
Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs
Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed

Required Qualifications

Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
High school diploma or GED
2 years of school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
Current and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
609 HVAC Certification
