Key Responsibilities
Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
Coordinate efforts with other workers for installation and maintenance
Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect components of industrial equipment
Advise management on equipment hazards
Maintain equipment logs for performance
Operate equipment to demonstrate use and analyze malfunctions
Perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime
Follow National Electric Code and safety regulations
Participate in ongoing skill improvement training
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
18 years or older
Physical job duties including bending/stooping and climbing ladders
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Work under special conditions (extreme heat/cold)
Ability to work in elevated areas
Operate machinery
Read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends
Perform electrical maintenance trade
Experience with blueprints and schematics
Operate mobile equipment
High degree of mechanical aptitude
Perform basic mathematical functions
Willing to work in inclement conditions
Work indoors and outdoors in a plant environment
Time management skills
Install conduit and pull wire
Strong commitment to safety
Adequate transportation
Use multiple tools (multi-meter, voltmeter, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley PLCs
Experience using electrical test equipment
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude with blueprints and manuals
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license in Nebraska
2-year degree in electromechanical or electrical system
