Key Responsibilities
Securing borders and stopping illegal activity
Questioning individuals and inspecting documents
Apprehending undocumented individuals or smugglers
Tracking signs of illegal entry

Patrolling using vehicles, horses, boats, etc.
Required Qualifications
One year of specialized experience at the next lower level for GL-9
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade for GS-11
U.S. Citizenship
Residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years
Age requirement (must be referred before turning 40)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior law enforcement experience
Military police experience
Leadership skills in investigations
