Dallas Nursing Job Details

• Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Facility Setting: Adult Day Surgery, 2nd Floor, Building A/Children's Tower
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/2/2025, End: 3/3/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,510 - $1,620
• Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM (10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Unit Size: 22 beds, 41 staff members
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Self-Scheduling: Available (must work 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule period)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required for Dallas healthcare jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an OR RN or Pre-Op/Day Surgery Registered Nurse
• Strong IV start skills and proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Preferred: Experience in Pre-Admit Testing
• Ability to work during inclement weather as needed
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to adult surgical patients
• Perform IV starts, monitor patient status, and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures
• Document patient care and track progress using Meditech EMR
• Float between Pre-Op, Post-Op, Pre-Admit Testing, and OR Holding areas as needed
• Assist with general surgery, gynecology, orthopedic scopes, and additional surgical procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment following unit policies and healthcare guidelines
