Job Description
As a Hospital Admissions Representative, you will play a crucial role in obtaining and verifying patient information and insurance eligibility, ensuring accurate billing and clinical records. This full-time position involves varied shifts and requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain and verify demographic information and insurance eligibility
Assign correct medical record and account numbers
Document and manage data entry for admissions
Notify patients and families of coverage issues
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and insurance regulations
Provide excellent customer service
Complete shift duties accurately and timely
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-1 year experience in a medical or customer service setting
Ability to type a minimum of 35 CWPM
Current BLS certification
Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of ED admitting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of medical terminology
Great organizational and interpersonal skills
