Key Responsibilities
Identifies staff orientation and educational needs
Develops plans and education/in services to address staff needs
Collaborates with teams for process improvements and patient outcomes
Develops and provides continuing education for staff, patients, and families
Acts as a positive change agent
Assists with orientation record and competency validation documentation
Provides feedback regarding orientee progress
Encourages staff for CAP (Clinical Advancement Program) and educational opportunities
Participates in performance improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program
BSN required
Current RN license in the state of Virginia
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field
Effective communication and strong organizational skills
Interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills
Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution, organization and effective judgement abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s prepared preferred (Education, quality, nursing, healthcare or business)
Nursing certification (e.g., Nursing Professional Development (NPD), Certified Nurse Educator (CNE))
