Job Description
The Medical Director at The Jewish Board is a key psychiatrist providing leadership at a Coordinated Community Behavioral Health Center, focusing on integrated care and clinical excellence. This role involves supervising clinicians, enhancing psychiatric practices, and ensuring high-quality patient care, especially in substance use treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians and programs at the CCBHC
Lead clinical team meetings and assist with clinical consultations
Support psychiatric best practices and quality improvement processes
Provide clinical orientation for new hires
Conduct chart reviews and supervise NPP students
Provide direct client services
Partner with site-based leadership to oversee clinical operations
Required Qualifications
Active New York State medical license and DEA
Specialty or considerable experience in Substance Use Treatment
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty board certification in addiction psychiatry
Addiction certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine
Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM)
Subspecialty board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Association
