Description:

We are currently seeking a contract position located in or around the surrounding area of New York, NY.

Job Description: This is an ICU position with day/night rotation (7a-7p / 7p-7a). This is a part-time role requiring 24 hours per week consisting of two 12-hour shifts with day/night/weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate care to patients in the ICU setting
• Handle confidential information with discretion
• Interact with people in a professional and courteous manner
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Enhance teamwork through effective role modeling
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Healing Environment principles
• Provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
• Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS certification
• Stroke Certification
• Computer literacy

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association (recommended within 2 years of hire)
• TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner
