**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift (3x12 hours)**

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team on the night shift, working 3x12-hour shifts. The RN will play a vital role in maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This position involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Patient Assessment:** Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, utilizing collected data to develop individualized care plans.

- **Patient Education:** Identify teaching needs and establish goals related to each patient's diagnosis. Initiate patient and family education from the day of admission, focusing on discharge planning.

- **Documentation:** Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.

- **Rehabilitation Participation:** Actively engage in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

- **Communication:** Maintain clear and timely communication regarding changes in patient status among care providers to foster continuity of care.

- **Supervision and Leadership:** Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while employing effective time management and problem-solving techniques.

- **Safety Focus:** Prioritize personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies. Foster a culture of safety for both patients and staff.

- **Team Collaboration:** Contribute positively to the unit’s functioning and participate in team-building activities to create an efficient work environment.

- **Professional Development:** Actively pursue opportunities for professional growth through continued education and self-study.

- **Charge Responsibilities:** Assume charge nurse responsibility as needed after an orientation period.

**Qualifications:**

- Current RN License
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required for specific locations
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
