EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent – Required
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Non-Certified Pathways (one of the following):
- Graduate of an OR Technician program accredited through ARC/STSA
- On-the-job training (must provide documented proof of training from the training facility, physician in charge, or military command officer)
- Military experience as Technician or LPN (documentation required)
- Dental Assistant
- Ophthalmology Technician
- Medical Assistant
Certified Pathway:
- Successful completion of the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT
Additional Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 6 months of technical experience OR specialized training for non-certified candidates, on-the-job training, or military-trained candidates
