Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic to ensure the reliable operation of our heavy-duty vehicles. You'll perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs while benefiting from a supportive work culture that values both corporate standards and a family-like atmosphere. Entry-level candidates are welcome, with training provided.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of diesel heavy trucks and engines
Utilizing diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assisting with emergency breakdowns when on call
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
CDL
2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool, Allison, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, Paccar)
