Job Description
Join Mercy as a Nurse Technician in the Med Surg 5W unit, where nursing students can gain hands-on experience while pursuing their degree. You will work alongside experienced nurses, providing essential care and support to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain vital signs and document into the electronic medical records system.
Assist with patient care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, patient mobility, and transport.
Phlebotomy/blood cultures.
Enteral Feeding.
Wound care.
IV/Foley removal.
Trach care/suctioning.
Culture collection.
Ostomy application and care.
Wound vacs.
NG tube management and removal.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Enrolled in a board-certified nursing program.
Completed Fundamentals of Nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
