Job Description
As a Kitchen Manager at Torchy's Tacos, you will oversee all Back of House operations, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen while fostering a culture of excellence. You will manage kitchen staff, food costs, and training, all while maintaining the high standards that define our mission of serving the best tacos.
Key Responsibilities
Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and completing inventories
Selecting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH Team Members
Creating BOH Team Member schedules to meet labor targets
Verifying adherence to recipes and proper food preparation
Utilizing assessments to develop action plans for operations and food quality
Communicating effectively with Team Members
Motivating and leading Team Members according to company values
Running shifts and supporting daily store operations
Partnering with the Learning & Development team for training
Required Qualifications
3+ years of kitchen management experience
State alcohol-server certification
Manager ServSafe Certification
High-level understanding of training and development concepts
Ability to foster teamwork
Leadership skills
Oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects at various heights
