Overview: Copper Springs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join their behavioral health team in Avondale, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient psychiatric facility that provides care for adults and adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers
- Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and participate in treatment planning
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Arizona (or compact license)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
- BLS certification (required)
- CPI or equivalent de-escalation certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
