Key Responsibilities

  • Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum
  • Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 and IEPs
  • Create an inclusive environment where students feel empowered
  • Analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments
  • Gather academic growth data and write goals for IEP meetings
  • Teach pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Engage in practice-based professional development and mentorship

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ social emotional and academic development
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Self-directed learner who solicits and implements feedback
  • 1-2 years experience preferred in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
  • Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements
