Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Hickory, North Carolina (28601) – North Carolina healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Telemetry Unit (24 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Clinical experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Preferred: Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC for travel nurse eligibility

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients (chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre/post cardiac catheterization)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using advanced telemetry equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document care and patient progress in electronic health records (Cerner preferred)
• Float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed
• Maintain a compassionate, supportive environment for patients and families
