Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessment
Document assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
Participate in care planning and update care plans as needed
Implement nursing interventions and administer medications safely
Monitor residents closely and identify behavioral changes
Assist with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs)
Complete continuing education related to nursing practices
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN
Current LPN license in the state of employment
CPR and AED certification (or willing to obtain within six months)
IV certification (or willing to obtain within six months)
Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper techniques
Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+ lbs
Ability to push and pull equipment weighing over 40 lbs
Manual dexterity and coordination
Visual acuity to distinguish color
Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing
