Key Responsibilities
Conduct evaluations of patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
Create individualized therapy plans
Assist patients in performing exercises and using adaptive equipment
Teach patients and their families techniques to improve functional abilities
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
Monitor and document patient progress
Educate patients about ergonomics and injury prevention
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
State licensure to practice
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, or home healthcare
