As a Speech Language Pathologist at ECHN, you will provide essential treatments to patients, enhancing their speech and language functions. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and play a vital role in clinical education while potentially covering multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status
Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Submits charges accurately and consistently
Adheres to professional code of ethics
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses
Participates in departmental or community in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
