Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and make a significant impact on animal welfare by leading a dedicated team in providing quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll support and mentor other veterinarians while ensuring every patient receives high-quality care, contributing to the ASPCA's mission of helping pets and their owners in need.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients
Schedule CM staff veterinarians and per diems for optimal coverage
Participate in monthly CM Veterinary Medicine Rounds
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
