Job Description

Join Cargill as an Electrician and be part of a global team committed to nourishing the world sustainably. You’ll design, install, and maintain electrical systems, while ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in design and installation of electrical projects
  • Coordinate with other workers on equipment installation
  • Consult with operators and engineers to resolve issues
  • Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160
  • Study blueprints and manuals for installation procedures
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
  • Inspect equipment for assembly and installation defects
  • Advise management on equipment hazards
  • Maintain equipment logs
  • Troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs
  • Work extended shifts and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Follow safety rules and regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • 18 years or older
  • Physical job duties including bending/stooping and climbing ladders
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Work under special conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
  • Ability to work in elevated areas
  • Operate machinery
  • Read/write English
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime and different shifts
  • Perform electrical maintenance trade
  • Experience with blueprints and schematics
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Basic mathematical functions
  • Willing to work in inclement conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor work environment
  • Good time management skills
  • Install conduit and pull wire
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Adequate transportation
  • Use multiple tools for electrical work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Experience using electrical test equipment for troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code
  • Mechanical aptitude with blueprints and manuals
  • Apprentice, Journeyman or above license in Nebraska or equivalent
  • 2-year degree in electromechanical or electrical system
