As a CT Technologist at Kaiser, you will operate CT scanners and radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Key Responsibilities
Performing diagnostic procedures in accordance with department policies.
Communicating necessary information to the healthcare team.
Providing service-oriented communication with patients.
Applying ALARA principles for minimizing radiation exposure.
Performing clerical duties including filing and PACs functions.
Administering contrast media as directed.
Assisting with patient transport as needed.
Participating in on-call or standby schedule as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT technologist within the past 2 years or minimum six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required at hire OR Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
