Schedule

Day shift - 10-hour shifts between the hours of 6 AM - 7 PM, with weekends as needed. Flexibility to stay until the last patient is cared for is required.

Job Description

The role involves working in a dynamic Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab, performing various invasive cardiology procedures. The department includes 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 dedicated Electrophysiology labs, with a total of 23 prep/recovery bays. The lab completes over 6,000 procedures annually, utilizing advanced cardiovascular treatments.

Responsibilities

• Conducting electrophysiology procedures and monitoring patients throughout the process
• Administering medications including antiarrhythmics and procedural sedation
• Performing procedural tasks such as sheath removal and monitoring
• Ensuring infection prevention and maintaining a safe environment for patients
• Monitoring and managing emergency situations as they arise

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in an EP Lab or similar setting
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred
• Preferred skills include activated clotting time monitoring, infection prevention, and cardioversion
