Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and make a meaningful impact by providing expert veterinary care to underserved communities. Lead a dedicated team, ensure high-quality animal care, and foster a positive work environment while performing vital surgeries and treatments.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture and team development
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-volume surgical procedures
Provide compassionate veterinary care in underserved areas
Participate in administrative duties and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Excellent work attendance record
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience
Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification (to be obtained within 60 days of hire)
