Job Description
Join ChanceLight as a Science and Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, where you will empower Special Education students in a dynamic environment. Your role includes delivering targeted instruction and creating personalized learning experiences that cater to diverse needs, all while working within a collaborative team committed to student growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the instructional process for Special Education students in Grades 9-12
Create an inclusive and collaborative environment
Establish a classroom climate emphasizing social development and positive interactions
Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction to meet IEP goals
Track and document student progress and maintain accurate student files
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education or a closely related field
Meet all VT state teaching license and/or certification requirements
Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in a classroom setting
Prior experience teaching Science and/or Math at a High School level, preferably in a special education program setting
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a state special education credential
Prior experience highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite
