Job Description
Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III, where you will provide compassionate care in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit. Utilize your nursing skills to implement treatments, assess patient needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders and administers medications
Starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Collaborates with nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Directs and guides ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques
