Key Responsibilities
Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Texas Nursing Practice Act for oncology patients
Determine health status and needs of patients through health data interpretation
Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
Formulate nursing care plans based on diagnoses
Implement nursing care within RN's scope of practice
Develop and implement patient teaching plans
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse
Bachelor's Degree within 24 months of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support
ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate within 60 days of employment
Recent/Current Acute Care experience in a Hospital Setting
Previous experience in Oncology, BMT, Critical Care, ICU or PCU
