As a Day Camp Counselor at The Salvation Army, you will lead summer camp activities, engage with children, and serve as a positive role model. This role involves planning activities, supervising children, and ensuring their safety during camp events.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day camp programming and recommend engaging new experiences
Supervise children during day camp activities and events
Chaperone field trips to ensure safety
Plan activities under the direction of the Day Camp Director
Participate in activities with children
Distribute meals and snacks according to health standards
Maintain accurate records for statistics and licensing
Maintain a positive work atmosphere
Ensure compliance with 'Safe from Harm' Certification
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Passion for fulfilling the mission of The Salvation Army
Must be 18+ years of age
Valid driver's license
Successful completion of pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check
