Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Mechanical Analysis Section Leader in Tucson, AZ, where you'll lead a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality technical output and overseeing critical phases of the product lifecycle. Your expertise will help solve complex engineering challenges and contribute to national defense.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of approximately 15-20 engineers
Provide technical development, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure accuracy of technical output based on data and analyses
Support recruitment and retention efforts
Perform individual contributor workload in the leader’s discipline
Resolve technical, operational, and supplier problems
Support product life cycle with technical oversight
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree
Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with materials and process design for military programs
Experience in cross-functional team collaboration
Experience in testing methods for materials
Experience with analysis of PWB/CCA interconnects
Experience in failure analysis of mechanical assemblies
Experience in dimensional inspection/measurement techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years of experience in materials problem solving
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects
Direct experience in aerospace materials support
Advanced degree in related disciplines
Understanding of Systems Engineering
Knowledge of data analysis and computational techniques
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to write technical reports
Knowledge of MATLAB, Creo, and/or Python
Proficiency in MS Office
