Job Description

As a Health Screener at BioLife Plasma Services, you'll greet and assist plasma donors while performing essential tasks such as monitoring donor health and operating plasmapheresis equipment. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of patients through the collection of life-changing plasma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor
  • Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machine
  • Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions
  • Perform all tasks required for the setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment
  • Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, and temperature measures
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
  • Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system
  • Support center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role
